Important Update On U.S. Tariffs

Tariffs Impacting Polyhose

As promised, we are reaching out to provide an important update regarding U.S. tariffs affecting imports from India.

Existing Tariff Surcharge: To date, Polyhose has been applying an 8.5% tariff surcharge due to previously implemented tariffs on products shipped from India into the U.S.

Newly Implemented Tariff Increase: As previously communicated, the tariff has been raised from the initial 10%, which was previously scheduled to rise to 25%. That tariff has now been raised to 50%.

Effective Date and Applicability: The 50% tariff went into effect on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, and the 50% tariff is now being applied to all products and containers that arrived on or after September 17, 2025.

Impact: Polyhose is now incurring the full burden of the 50% tariff on all product and container shipments arriving into the U.S.

Next Steps: The Polyhose leadership team has exhausted every available means to mitigate the full impact of this tariff to our customers. As a result, we must now put into effect our tariff mitigation strategy for all U.S. customers. Effective October 15, 2025, Polyhose will be applying a 27.5% tariff surcharge on all products shipped on or after that date (October 15, 2025).

Future Plan

As the U.S. and India continue to carry out dialog surrounding this 50% tariff, our executive leadership team will be closely following any developments or possible changes. Any definitive change or adjustment to this tariff will result in an immediate update from the Polyhose team. Should no change occur by December 1, 2025, Polyhose will publish (at that time) the continuation of our existing strategy OR any required adjustments that may be necessary at that time.
